Plea from the Polar Bears

Polar bear consciousness

We are the ice skaters, the ice fishers, and the ice hunters. We like ice where we can travel swiftly in a steady rhythm under the round moon. We seek no trees or shelter, bird song or softness; we like the world we live in with its subtle beauty of delicate colours. Our world moves from bright white to soft twilight shades, each imbedded with glinting crystals of ice. The sharp ice crystals rubbed smooth under our feet are burnished into mirrors of reflection. When everything around you is white, the beauty is in the reflection of the sky and the water. Our twinkling ice crystals mirror the stars at night. (But we don’t like snow! Too soft for running.)

In a world of hardness and reflection we seek the movement of the water and waves, we are drawn to its life and it’s life-giving. We can survive for a while in a watery world as long as the world changes and freezes again.  It has to freeze again while we still have enough numbers to repopulate our people, the people of the ice. The fish are changing, their flavour has changed and their energy has changed. They are tolerating a watery world that has become degraded, and they are considering whether or not they wish to remain on this water planet. Can you imagine a world without fish, or the beings that live on fish? Many species of ocean bird will no longer be here when the fish leave. The oceans will stagnate without fish and the stirring they provide.

We are big enough for you to notice and big enough for you to remember us; the white bears of the Arctic world. We are not here as sacrifices, it is not our intention to die so you will notice what you are doing with global warming and wake up. We are here to live and enjoy our chosen lives in the exhilarating cold; in regions so remote and cold that we really didn’t expect the human hunters to chase us to death on the frozen edge of the world. You have found other ways to kill us and you don’t even care, you don’t even want us for food. You just tear up the world and let others die. We are angry at your selfishness and arrogance.

We feel the changes in the Earth, the signs of the new times that are beginning. This is/was to be the beginning of the next phase, and in all the plans we made as a soul group in our beginning, we made plans to be here during and after that new age.  Now we don’t know, we can’t see how we can be here if the ice melts. Think about us, we are the biggest land animal of the Arctic, and when we go everything has to change there. You can’t change the Arctic and nothing else, everything has a knock-on effect and your future will not be the same future if we are not sharing it with you.
